You ask what he was like as a boy? Well, I need to back up just a little first.
When we took our offering to the temple after our boy was born, we met this nice old man named Simeon. He looked at us, and asked if he could hold him. He seemed harmless enough, so we let him. We found out afterwards that everyone in the temple knew him and knew that he was waiting for the hope of Israel to come. No one really knew what that meant, but the moment he rushed over to us, there was a buzz around the courts. He praised God for allowing him to see God’s salvation for the people. And then he blessed us. And he finished by saying to me “And a sword will pierce your soul too.”
